I've been tagged!

So here are 5 things about me:

1 - I was tagged by my friend Trey who baptized me at 14, counseled me at 16, married my husband and I at 21, and still serves as a wonderful mentor to me at 31.

2- I secretly believe that Childress, Texas is the "land of milk and honey". I would gladly live next door to my mom and dad if that were a possibility. I once drove my daughter 8 hours to see Dr. Green because I was sure that doctors in my town were not doing their job. I was right and I would still trust my life to him. I consider my aunts, mom, and grandmother (all in Childress) to be the greatest women alive. Finally at 29 I found a new eye doctor ( I still would rather see Dr. Davis). If you have never visited please go sometime, you will never meet friendlier people.

3- I have had the same best friend for 22 years. Stacy is still the smartest, funniest, and most creative person that I know. She knows me better than I know myself and I can't imagine going very many hours without talking to her. Of our 22 years we have only lived in the same town 3 of those years (college where we shared an apartment). So I tag her so that you can see how great she is.

4- I am married to the greatest father in the world. I am constantly amazed at the way he interacts with our kids. I knew I loved him, but having kids together has bonded us closer than I could have ever imagined. I certainly doesn't hurt that he is also tall, dark, and handsome. ;)

5- If you have read my blog much, you know that I am a christian. What you may not know is that I have struggled with what that really means most of my life. It is not because I didn't have a wonderful church family to grow up in or the best youth minister, or a faithful family. I had all of those things. I even went to a christian college (only for 3 semesters). None of that will get me to heaven without a personal relationship with God. That is what I am working on now and will continue to work on for the rest of my life.

Mon,

Amen, on the land of milk and honey. And I'm glad you and Rocky hooked up. I think he "married up."

My only concern from your tagged-blog is realizing that you're actually 31 years-old. That makes me still feel really old.

PS - Don't for get to pass on the "tag" to someone else.
