I've been tagged.....

Well, I was trying to come up with my top ten tuesday which was not going anywhere interesting when I noticed that I had been tagged by Neva. So instead of top ten tuesday, it's top eight monica. Here we go.....1) I have to post eight random facts about myself, 2) I have to list these rules and 3) I have to tag eight other people.

1. I don't like tomatoes, but I love ketchup, hot sauce, or any other tomotoe product

2. I don't like to take medication. I will have a headache for hours before I will take a tylenol.

3. I have always been a talker, when my parents got tired of it, I would ride my bike and talk to my imaginary friends.

4. I have a super power.....A very good sniffer. I can smell things that others can not. For that reason I love candles, essential oils, and roses.

5. I am a peacemaker. I don't like it when people fight and argue. It makes me uncomfortable and sick at my stomach.

6. I could watch HGTV all day.

7. I have only had stitches once thanks to my brother. He put a broken bottle in our kiddie swimming pool and I slid into it and cut up my foot.

8. I wear my baby ring. It is on the tip of my pinkie, of course. I have not taken it off since I was sixteen which has actually made a permanent indention in my finger.

Ok, maybe not that interesting, but certainly random. Now, of course, I must pass on the pain of self evalutation to friends. So I tag......
Stacy - best friend and experinced blogger
Michelle - great friend and new blogger
Karen - friend of a friend and new blogger
Rocky - hubby (may have to post on my blog)
Brian - brother (may have to post on my blog)
Keith - brother (may have to post on my blog)
Shelly - sister-in-law (may have to post on my blog)
Stephanie - future sister-in-law (may have to post on my blog)

I learned some new things about you. First ... you're really weird. ha

I like these 8 things ... most of them I did not know. I did know the talking one though. And I think when it comes to sniffing, it may be a woman thing. Women can smell things men never can. Or maybe men just deny it!

I don't know.

Monica, I have a sister that loves HGTV. She watches and records the shows. I tend to zone out when it is on.

Thanks for playing, my friend. It is always good to get to know more about you.
BTW, today I overheard someone talking about your new town. They said that town always has amazing basketball teams. I just sat and smiled coz I knew they were just gonna get better, what with a new coach and all.
:)
Peace

Monica - How can you not love tomatoes? I am addicted to them. I love the rally juicy ones with lots of seeds. Yum!

Hmm.... 8 things about myself.... I could easily tell you eight things about my 3 year old or 8 things about my husband or even eight things about my brothers, but why is it so hard to think of eight things about myself?
1. Let's start with piggy-backing off of yours-- I too have a crazy sniffer, but it is so sensitive that I am not a big fan of candles. I get the (not literal) hives when I smell spray air freshener. I would rather sit by a screaming kid or behind a ten foot giant in church than have to endure someone's perfume. My honest belief is that heaven will be odorless (unless, of course, someone can prove to me otherwise in the Good Book).
2. I can read books really fast, and while reading them, I feel like I am living in them. I can tell you everything about them..... that is.... until a week later. For this same reason, although I may find myself doubled to the floor with laughter at a joke, I can never remember how to tell it.
3. I can remember most anything that anyone ever gave me as a gift. We've been married nine years, and I still think of the people who gave me the wedding gift when I use it.
4. The one guilty pleasure thing I like to do is watch a Lifetime movie. It really is pathetic, especially since I normally have to leave the room or turn the channel when the stalker finally gets too close. (back to the part about living in a story-- I can't handle scary stuff)
5. I have watched Days of Our Lives since I was born. I can remember watching it with my Mom and her mother, my Nena. I really can't believe that they brought Patch and Kayla back. I always had a Barbie/Pony/Doll named Kayla in all imaginary play-- a true tribute.
6. Mark was my first kiss.
7. I get my kicks from Cotton Candy and Dr. Pepper (another good reason to take Makenna to the circus).
8. If I could be anywhere, it would always be by a body of water. I grew up going to the lake every weekend, and I love the beach. There is something so awe-inspiring about watching the water.
9. My favorite book growing up was The Little Princess. It was the only book I ever read over and over and over.
10. I have never broken a bone (knock on wood) or gotten a traffic ticket (or any other type of ticket for that matter). For the first thing, I have found that knowing how to fall, especially as the top of a pyramid, is an essential skill for avoiding injury. In the second matter, I have found that my parents and grandparents teaching me good old fashioned West Texas respect for one's elders and those in authority has gone a long way.

Oh, one last thing-- since you yourself have recognized my status as "new blogger," I feel that I should be granted an exemption from the rule about tagging. Notwithstanding the notion that we should all follow all rules, it would be in the best interest of all involved for the rules to be bent for me. Let the record reflect that you have nodded your approval to the aforementioned rule deviation.

Might I add that my friend Michelle is an attorney (in case you didn't get that from the last comment). I applaud you my friend, I am intimidated and I don't even know what you said, really.

NB,

I also applaud you for eating my share of tomatoes.
