Snow, football, and a big fat trophy!

Well, where do I start? Friday night the Swifts played an excellent game against Gruver for the Area championship. You can read about the game here. They slipped and slid all over the snow covered turf for a 49 to 34 win. The fans were bundled, wrapped, and covered in just about everything that we owned to fight off the 26 degree night in the snow. It was beautiful to watch even if it was chilly. Of course, playing in the snow was to our advantage and if you don't believe it, just ask any swift football player. We even had our QB get athlete of the week.

Unfortunately, we also had an injury. Our Swift #10 broke his femur. He had surgery on Saturday morning and is homebound for awhile until it heals. This is the hardest part about being a football coach. Rocky has a hard time with any of "his guys" getting hurt. We ask that you keep him and his family in your prayers. We are asking God for quick healing and a peace of mind for him as he rehabs.

Great to see your new post, I had heard about that football game, Gruver is 12 miles from my house. We have spent many a night at a snow covered stadium watching football, that is why I like basketball better, it is inside. LOL

I've enjoyed keeping up with the Naz football team. As for the picture... I like the one big snowflake in front of the camera. ha

Congratulations to Rocky and the team. Gruver is not far from Spearman. Did you play in Naz or in Gruver? Know there was snow, but none here in Nebraska, go figure.

Peace

Monica,

You are an encouragement to me....you are such a wonderful supportive wife. Maybe you were unaware of it, but I've been reading between the lines.
