Thoughts

My friend Stacy is very used to me stealing from her. I copied this photo right off of her blog. It really woke me up this morning. I feel so much better today and this photo made me realize exactly why. When we are down, we are forced to look up. I spent a lot of the day yesterday praying and searching for inspiration. I even read an article about the shoeshine man. He is a great example of a servant. From his position he is forced to look up to others. Maybe that's what our down days are for, servanthood. Praying to God and looking up to others.

Photo Enhancement

I read this story about photo enhancement. I thought that is sounded absurd at first, but sort of a neat concept. The photochop site seems to slightly alter photos in a way that still look realistic. The best part is that they can remove other people from the photo. Check it out.

Did you catch the story about Katie Couric's slimmed-down look in an airbrushed photo in a CBS promotional magazine before she took the helm at CBS Evening News? Lots of folks were upset by it, and Katie and CBS execs mostly laughed it off.
But reader Lisa K. had a different take. The story inspired her to have a recent photo of her taken on the beach touched up to slim and shape her arms. She sent it off to
PhotoChop.com (screenshot), and for $5 she has a digitally enhanced photo more to her liking. She's gone back with some more business, once to remove a fresh scrape from her son's nose.

Inspiration

If you know me well, you know that I love quotes. Here are some great resorces.

"Worrying is like a rocking chair, it gives you something to do, but it doesn't get you anywhere” Unknown

“When one door closes another door opens; but we so often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door, that we do not see the ones which open for us.” Helen Keller

“Dont cry because its over, smile because it happened.” Unknown

“Adversity cause some men to break; others to break records.” William A. Ward

“Those who bring sunshine into the lives of others cannot keep it from themselves.” James Matthew Barrie

Nanna Puddin

The kids and I saw a Nanna Puddin preformance recently and it was the best kids show that I have ever seen. They are going to be at Ashlynn's school in October and If you haven't seen a show you should go online and see when they will be in your area. We went to a church and saw Dennis Lee. He was so funny and delivered a wonderful message.

Blessings

Today I feel blessed to be alive and healthy. I feel blessed to be a mom, a wife, daughter, a sister, an aunt, granddaughter, a cousin, niece, friend, and a child of God. I am just thankful for the many people in my life that make me all of those things.

So that's all from this day in the life of mommysmart!
