Prayer Requests

Philippians 4:6:6Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

I believe that God hears the prayers of the righteous and I can thankfully tell you that my family is healthy and happy. I thank God for the blessings in my life. However, we have an unbelievably busy June. I would love nothing more than to feel surrounded by prayer, so here it is friends, my summer prayer request list…….

We are going to visit a new addition to our family this weekend please pray for God’s protection and purpose in the life of baby Joseph

On the 29th I will be starting a 6 wk course of MATH that will be two hours a day four days a week. Please pray that God will give me understanding. I have to remember that he can part water, resurrect the dead, and move mountains because that is the kind of power that it will take for me to understand algebra.

We are going on a family camping trip June 2-4. My kids have never been out of the lonestar state so we are headed to Oklahoma. This was an Ashlynn request. I hope that she won’t be disappointed when we cross that state line and nothing really looks any different. We are staying in a cabin with no phones and really no one else around. We planned that so that we could enjoy REAL family time. Please pray for our safety and protection.

Ok, this is the “BIGGIE”! On June 7th I will be getting on a plane (alone). So that you understand, I have extreme “flight anxiety”. I know that statistically it is safe, but my brain has a hard time relaying that information to my body and I seem to fall apart as soon as we take off. I would not be excited, except for it is for the best reason that I can think of. I am going for a long weekend with my “bestest” friend, Stacy. Please pray that I will be at peace and for God to put his arms around those planes and keep me safe.

Then Rocky and I have a marriage conference on the 23rd weekend. We are very excited. It will be all Christian coaches for two days. Please pray that God will use that time to bring us closer and really work in our marriage to make us stronger.

Thank you in advance for you prayer! There is such an amazing peace that comes from knowing that others are praying on your behalf. Also if you have something coming up please leave in the comments so that we can all pray for you, too.

Sounds like you are going to be busy! I will pray for you and your family. Don't wprry about the flight everything will be ok. Before my surgery last week I had my headphones and listened to Sheila Walsh sing God Is In Control and that helped me calme down about being put to sleep. It is a great CD, so take something you can listen to that is claming.

Thank you nb!

Stachia,

I didn't want to mention your surgery on here, but since you brought it up. How are you?

I will use your idea. I think that Rocky has all of my richland hills cd's on his ipod. That will help me a ton.

I can't wait to get you here! Thank you for making the sacrifice to come see me. I do know it's hard for you, and it means so much to me. It'll be worth it!!!!!

Neva,

I always appreciate your prayers!

Stacy,

For you friend, I would ride in a submarine. I just so appreciate you giving up your miles (and thank you, too, Ray) to get me there. I can't wait to see how life for the Darwin's is lived beyond the phone.

I'll pray.

As for Oklahoma ... it's like another country. You might need a passport and try and convert a few of them while you are there.

Marriage Seminar - too cool.

I think the marriage seminar sounds great!

email me where you are going in Ok. It makes me wonder where people would go if they purposefully vacationed here.
