Again my friend, Marley, has given me a GREAT read. This one hits home, literally. It is set in Ft. Worth. I am about half-way through and absolutely LOVE what I have read so far. She tells me that they are working on a movie and I can see why. Here is the description:
A dangerous, homeless drifter who grew up picking cotton in virtual slavery. An upscale art dealer accustomed to the world of Armani and Chanel. A gutsy woman with a stubborn dream. A story so incredible no novelist would dare dream it. There is a little section that really hit my heart.
Here ya go.....
I guess we were pretty good at the whole Chrisitan thing-or maybe we were really bad at it-because we managed to alienate many of our old college friends. With our new spiritual eyes, we could see they didn't have fish stickers either, and we set about saving them from eternal damnation with all of the subtlety of rookie linebackers. Looking back now, I mourn the mutual wonds inflicted in verbal battles with the "unsaved".

Why are all my blogger friends reading good books; I don't have any here. I better go and find myself one. Enjoy yourself!
So how does the dangerous drifter play in?
Kathy
Hey Kathy,
The dangerous drifter is actually one of the main characters. The book takes you through the lives of two men on completely different sides of life and how they came together. You won't be disapointed and it is a really quick read.
